we love this show, the guests
we love this show, the guests are excellent. I had a number 5 on my Carlton jumper as a teenager and was thrilled to see Syd Jackson interviewed on your show a couple of times; his quiet dignity, knowledge and experience are priceless. Keep up the great work - the show is entertaining, informative, funny and gives players and fans a chance to talk about footy in a great environment where they are respected and listened to. The Allen Christensen interview was very good too -wonderful to see young players on TV. Ad free is a huge bonus too!! Looking forward to season 2012
Footy show
I have watched the show since it moved to Pay TV. I make a point of not missing the show because of it's information, interesting guests and humour. It leaves the other so called footy show where it belongs...in the gutter.
Great Show
Excellent watched your show all year!! Keep up the good work
mick malthouse
hi there guys. Let's hope mick malthouse is not lost to footy. how about his own show similiar to in Melbourne tonight. we could have with Mick tonight discussing all the latest footy issues etc. He could have a wheel , dancers etc. it would make rivetting viewing.
Charlie Stewart
Love your show. Your interview with Charlie Stewart was fantastic. As a bulldogs supporter from way back I loved watching Charlie play. His drop kicks and stab passes were flawless. To see him looking so well after all these years made my night - no, it made my year. Congratulations on a great year for the show.
Wow! Great show! Love it!
Wow! Great show! Love it! Great entertainment! Well done Grant, Gillie & Co. I much prefer watching this footy show than the other Thursday night footy show. It's great to see a footy show that actually puts most of the focus into Football. Thanks.
Hi Guys We would like to
Hi Guys We would like to congratulate everyone associated with the Margrook Footy show. We have watched your show since 2007 & loved every minute of it. Our only suggestion is that we would like to see it go for 90 minutes instead of 60 min, so you can still have the segments of old ie where are they now & also more time to chat to the fantastic special guests that you have on. Keep up the good work to all & especially the girls (go the blues Shelley!!) & look forward to your show in 2012.
Come to Darwin
LOVE THE SHOW. But I want to see you in Darwin. Just imagine a live show at the amphitheatre here, it would be awesome. You guys would definitely fill it!
GREAT JOB
My husband and i watch your show every week and i must say that i am extremely proud of the two women presenters on your show. Girls you a FANTASTIC. You know your footy you know your job and most of all your respet you have for yourselves. Finally a football show that does not discriminate women. It is such a breath of fresh air to be a women and watch a show regarding footy that is just about footy and team spirit and respect. How refreshing to see male presenters show such respect. Fantastic Ladies and Gents. Go Pies. Kind Regards Nadia
Thank you for your show
Hi all, Just want to say thank you for a terrific show. I am so glad to find a genuinely good footy show- great humour without unnecessary crappy stunts like the other Thurs Footy show. You do an amazing job- with dignity. Hold your heads high. We'll keep watching. I have told my school students about your show as an option to the other- and I hope they'll switch over. Stay strong! Who was the group singing towards the end of last weeks episode, I was falln asleep on my couch listening to them sing, when I opened my eyes i realised it was the MARNGROOK show still on
Darwin Doggies fan, as you know Grant
Grantie, just love this show and all those years we had you at Songlines you'd missed your true calling! Next season we want to see a show from Elcho Island. League there has a heap of teams and we reckon highest per capita involvement in Aussie rules in the country. Tell Leila approx 7 young women's teams as well. You've gotta see it, and no shortage of musos there as well. Gurrumul, Manuel Dhurrrkay and Saltwater for example. Keep up the great work, Gillian Harrison
I have seen all sorts of
I have seen all sorts of players ranging from upstanding citizens to absolute ratbags that keep the papers full of bad pie publicity. Leon Davis as far as I can remember has always been a brilliant example both on and off field (keeping in mind I missed a few years when I was out bush). What better player would fill a position at a club such as the pies, acting as a player mentor, part time specialist coach and general father figure to all young players requireing a sensible watching eye, than Leon.
Bett's, Yarran, Walker, Garlett
I call them Blue Heelers as they always seem to be running around a pack or waiting for that ball to come over the back then when you look up and there they. ps: Sorry Burnsy had to jump ship ( old Cat supporter ) Jeff Garlett snr.
Thank you for 2011
It has been a pleasure watching the Marngrook Footy Show every week as it is the best Footy Show on TV. Enjoy watching Gilbert & Ronnie having a go at each other. Cant wait for the Show to come to Sydney again next year as we saw the show last time they were in Sydney.
Leon Davis
Two things recently have caught my eye. One was the interview you did with Phil Narkle and the mention of the position he now occupies within the club. The second being Leigh Brown getting out of the caper while still near the top of his game (Much better than being asked to leave). Now that all makes me think: I have been a pies supporter since 1968 and I have seen all sorts of players ranging from upstanding citizens to absolute ratbags that keep the papers full of bad pie publicity. Next time you speak to a Pies person, perhaps you could ask them if they could come up with a suitable package that would give him that job but still keep in touch with his family.
AFL Allstars game
Love your show & that C. Johnson is a part of it (he's my absolute hero!). Wondering what is happening with the All Stars game that was scheduled this year in February but postponed due to all the natural events at the time. My partner & I have attended in Darwin every alternate year since the 90's & feel like there is a limb missing at the moment. So many incredibly talented indigenous players that should be showcased to the Australian public. Please give us the knowledge of when & where & we'll make sure we're there backing the Indigeneous boys! Tan from the BRITS
Hi Guys and Girls, The show
Hi Guys and Girls, The show is AWESOME, I have been a fan from day one. Could you please give a shout out to the Penrith Swans U14's who are playing in their division Grand Final this weekend 3rd Sept at Blacktown Olympic Park. All the best for the rest of the year. Brownie Assistant Coach
I have to say that I really
I have to say that I really love your show! The presenting is awesome, nothing like the other channels. This is the REAL info, no what the producer wants to hear. Keep up the good work.
Ace show... Would love to see

Best footy show on tv
I watched the show for the first time tonight and I absolutely love it! Keep up the great work!
Best footy show on TV
Hi Folks, I have started watching your show because it was recommended to me. My goodness, I was impressed. Its funny without being vulgar, its respectful of women, and it absolutely gives wonderful commentary on Footy. Its what every footy show should be, but isn't. I've made it my number one footy show now. I love Geelong, grew up there, and the Mighty Cats are my team forever. I was there in the bad times and now I savour the good. I'd like all young fans of clubs to remember, that if you stick with your club, the successes that come are all the sweeter for the wait! Thanks for the great show, and keep on rockin'! Gezza
Indigenous footy
Love your show, what you guys & ladies do for indigenous footy is great. Much more entertaining than the channel 9 footy show too! Maybe you could extend into the cricket season as well?...
What I love about your show
What I love about your show is that you are polite, passionate about football and positive. Keep up the good work Wendy in Moree

Best Footy Show in Oz
Hi from darwin - great show !
Merchandise
Hey gang, Love the show and getting to be in the audience last night. Meeting Grooka was a highlight. Think it would be a great addition if you had your merchandise on sale in the canteen before and after we go into the studio. The excitement of being there would make items very popular and fans could get t-shirts, scarves etc signed. A grooka soft toy for when i come back next year is a must. Thanks, great work and Thorpie is cute.
Footy event in league state
Hi gang, it would be wonderful if you could mention this event on air. I am a librarian at Fairfield library in Brisbane. The library and much of the suburb was flooded in January. To welcome back our customers and flood-affected residents we have been holding many events since we re-opened in June, after a closure lasting 5 months to re-build. Fairfield is next to Yeronga where AFLQ is situated, so we decided to hold a footy event to celebrate the greatest game of all, in what ostensibly is a league state, and to support the return of many of our local sporting venues and teams. On Tuesday 16th August at 3.30pm all primary school children are invited down to Fairfield Library to take part in some Aussie Rules drills, word games & quizzes. We would love it if everyone wore team colours, as prizes donated from AFL clubs around Australia will be awarded. To be like Specky Magee PH: 34038615 to book. Thanks
showing times
just got used to watching this great show when they changed the late timeslot to 11.25 the boys at work on arfternoon shift don't finish till 11.45 which gave us just enough time to get home to watch it at 12.00. any chance of changing it back. regards, bill

would really like to see Allen on your show, he's magic, I really suspect that he will go far. loved the Cats win on Saturday 233 to 47 WOW Our boys Travis, Matty and Allen did us proud (why not put them all on the show)? Love your show, watch it every week Nampijinpa
Hi all @ Marngrook Footy
Hi all @ Marngrook Footy Show. One of the highlights of season 2011 for me has been a Western Bullies mate of mine putting me onto your show. I've thoroughly enjoyed it & will continue to I'm sure. Ronnie Burns makes me laugh I must say, and as a Tiger supporter I need as many as I can get these daze. So thanx Ronnie. Keep up the good work Grant & Co, the Logie can't be far away now. Regards Peter Walker, Launceston
Leila
Watched the show last night.. Leila without that eyeshadow, finally girl we get to see your true goodlooks, you don't need all that paint on your face just show us your natural beauty. If I wasn't over 40, fat and balding...oh and attached, I'd asking for a phone number. Gilly, what's doing mate, stop looking at the camera the whole time and stop giving us the "Hey baby!" looks. Keep up the good work guys, love the show from a non-brother. Cheers
Learning more about AFL
Hello, After 19 years away from Australia I greatly appreciate the Marngrook team helping me get up to date on the AFL and particularly learning more about the current (and past) indigenous players. Now less loyal to one team (used to be Footscray/the Bulldogs) and more watching out for and enjoying the skills and flair of players such as Lance Franklin, Cyril Rioli, Chris Yarran, and many others. However, because I am Sydney-based also love watching the Swans. Go Marngrook!
Had a blast... Gillie is a
Had a blast... Gillie is a Legend... Funniest bloke on the show. Everyone was great and the vibe in the audience was fantastic. GILLIE #1
Great show
My son & I just love the show - look forward to it each week. Plenty of fun & footy information that appeals to all ages. Great work from the girls - we love Leila & Shelley's reporting! Keep up that great tipping ladies. We loved seeing Essendon hero Neil Daniher. Lots of memories from the 80's for me, so thanks. :-)
Love the show
A must not miss on Thursday nights. Leaves the other footy shows for dead. Love in the interchanges between Ronnie and Gilly. Keep up the great work.
the show
What a wonderful show this is. Great to see Warren H Williams on show and Terry Daniher. The show has a simplicity about it, yet informative as well, a little humour also. The type of show one tells friends to watch, and parents can take their children to. Please do not change. Grant has the professionalism to quell any problems that may arise and to keep it simple and smooth running. Well done. Would not watch anything else. Catherine.
The best footy show on
The best footy show on television by a long shot. My wife and I try not to miss a show but soemtimes work intervenes. We would love to know what MARNGROOK means. Keep up the good work guys and gals we love your show. Pat and Wally
margrook
a marngrook was a grass filled possum skin used in days gone bye by Aboriginal people as a "football" a forerunner to AFL so many say. look on the desk in front of the panel, I think they have one.
Had heard about your show but
Had heard about your show but only started watching two weeks ago. Just love your style and your panellists. Make sure that you keep plenty of Collingwood stories coming!
Razor Ray
Noticed that Razor Ray must have been sustituted on for Carlton in the 2nd Quarter on Sunday. Really played well especially when giving 50 metre penalties against the Dogs. However Dogs finished the quarter well despite Ray's influence
Your Show
Hi team, I've watched your show for a couple of years now and think it's great that the ABC picked you up. Now you can be seen by everyone, as I first came across the show on pay telly. I missed this weeks show so I will be tipping without your guidance this week. Keep up the good work, I'm trying to organise a group to come down and watch the show live. Best wishes from the high country.
Hi just wanted to say I come

Marngrook and Peter McKenna
Hi Guys Absolutely love the show and, being a Saints fan, have a huge soft spot for Gilbert. Just a word about your recent guest, Peter McKenna. Back in the early 70's Peter was a Superstar. I lived in Doncaster and played junior footy for Doncaster Heights, which was in Fitzroy's zone, back in the days of suburban zones. The Fitzroy player who was due to appear at our best and fairest count pulled out at very short notice and our coach approached Peter to fill in on 24 hours notice, which he duly did. The absolutely awestruck look on the faces of the younger kids was priceless. Peter McKenna was sensational on the night and it's something I have remembered for nearly 40 years, how his kind gesture made the whole night memorable for an entire junior football club. Congratulations Peter McKenna, you are a true gentleman.
Great show!
You're awesome!! I love this show. Rock on guys.
