Fisher upsets hot favourite Dal Santo in St Kilda's b 'n' f

Ultra-consistent backman Sam Fisher is celebrating a shock win in St Kilda's best and fairest award.

In an unbelievably close vote count, Fisher won the Trevor Barker Medal after polling 557 votes to pip smooth-moving midfielder Nick Dal Santo on 554 votes by three votes.

Improved run-with specialist Sean Dempster finished third on 490 votes with Leigh Montagna on fourth with 487 votes.

Goalsneak Stephen Milne was fifth on 418 votes followed by Clint Jones on 401, Adam Schneider on 392, Nick Riewoldt on 384 , Brendon Goddard on 376 and Jason Gram on 371.

It's Fisher's second best and fairest award following his win in 2008.

Dal Santo is yet to break through to win the top honour.
