Dockers impress after giving Saints a big fright

What a terrific game it was at Etihad Stadium.

St Kilda edged out Fremantle by 15 points in an electrifying, thrill-a-minute classic.

The 2009 runners-up blew the game apart by slamming on four goals in a row in the opening minutes of the last quarter after leading by one point at three quarter-time.

But the Dockers will take plenty of confidence out of giving the Saints a big fright.

The Dockers are genuine top-four contenders.

Five goals apiece from Brendon Goddard and Stephen Milne proved the difference.

Silky-skilled midfielder Nick Dal Santo had the ball on a string, especially in the first quarter and a bit.

In-form champ Matthew Pavlich kicked five goals for the Dockers.

Ruckman Aaron Sandilands was outstanding for Freo as well.

Speedy midfielder Stephen Hill caused the Saints plenty of problems.

Hill will feature on the Marngrook Footy Show which airs on Foxtel's incredibly popular NITV channel in the coming weeks.

Finals scores: St Kilda 16.12 (108) to Fremantle 14.9 (93).
