At the 2008 draft camp at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra, 75 players participated in a vital part of the drafting process. In 2007, 48 draft camp players were picked up and 13 were rookie listed.
Four high profile players in 2008 are Sandringham’s Tyrone Vickery, Brighton Grammar’s Jack Watts and Western Australians Nick Natanui and Daniel Rich.

AFL club reps will meet next Monday to discuss options for the exchange period that ends on October the 10th.

Footy is over for 2008. But the return of the International Rules Series gives us something to look forward to.
The carnival was postponed for a year after a 2006 game that was marred by aggressive play.
This year’s two test series against Ireland begins at Subiaco oval on October the 24th and then moves to the MCG on the 31st.
