Carlton's Andrew Walker is the Marngrook Footy Show's Deadly Player of the Week.

Check out these statistics ... 36 possessions, 12 marks, seven rebound 50s and three inside 50s.

That was Andrew Walker's sensational contribution to Carlton's shock win over Adelaide at AAMI Stadium in the fourth round.

He was everywhere as the Blues sent the Crows packing.

It was no surprise to see Walker named as the Marngrook Footy Show's Deadly Player of the Week.

He polled 11 of a possible 12 votes.

Adam Goodes polled six votes for his outstanding performance in Sydney's win over North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium.

He leads the voting after four rounds with 14 votes.

The two-time Brownlow Medal winner was delightedto win the prestigious Deadly Player of the Year award in 2009.

He accepted his trophy from host Grant Hansen on last year's blockbuster grand final show.

Carlton livewire Chris Yarran received three votes with Fremantle speedster Stephen Hill and Carlton goalsneak Jeff Garlett receiving two votes apiece.

Marngrook Footy Show host Grant Hansen puts heat on the Bulldogs

Marngrook Footy Show host Grant Hansen's frustration over the patchy form of Western Bulldogs established stars Robert Murphy, Daniel Giansiracusa and Lindsay Gilbee has boiled over.

Never one to pull his punches, Grant described Murphy as "over-rated, despite flashes of brilliance".

He insists Giansiracusa "should never captain the club".

And he added Gilbee has been "a passenger".

Grant came out swinging when prompted by panellist Alan Thorpe in the wake of the 2010 premiership contender's woeful effort against Brisbane at the Gabba last Saturday night.

The Bulldogs went down by 23 points (the margin probably should've been 60 points).

Incredibly, the Bulldogs led by 30 points late in the second quarter.

Grant pointed the finger at Murphy, Giansiracusa and Gilbee, imploring them to return to their best form with a vengeance.

Meanwhile, Grant is thrilled to see promising ruckman Jordan Roughead selected for his debut for tonight's crucial game against Adelaide at Etihad Stadium.

He liked what he saw from the youngster during the NAB Cup pre-season competition.

Grant was especially impressed with some of Roughead's tap work at the centre bounces.

He also commended coach Rodney Eade for promoting forward Jarrad Grant for his second game after some fine form with VFL allifiate Williamstown.

Captain Brad Johnson and fellow star veteran Jason Akermanis return from injury.

Golden honour for Victorian schoolboy Tim Golds

Xavier College is definitely producing the footy goods at the moment.

Former student Daniel Hannebery is certainly putting his name up in lights for Sydney.

The midfielder was one of the best players as the Swans finished strongly to beat North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium.

Hannebery was the NAB Rising Star nominee the previous week.

Current Xavier College student Tim Golds could follow Hannebery into AFL ranks.

The 17-year-old has been voted by his peers as the Ben Mitchell Medal winner, the highest award given to a member of the AIS-AFL Academy squad.

Naitanui surely set to be NAB Rising Star nominee

The excitement generated by young gun ruckman Nic Naitanui during West Coast's crucial, break-through win over Essendon at Subiaco Oval on Friday night was quite extraordinary.

The 19-year-old was sensational with his ruck work at the centre bounces.

He had the crowd leaping out of their seats on several occasions when he gathered his own tap outs and exploded downfield to send the Eagles deep into attack.

No wonder coach John Worsfold compared the excitement surrounding Naitanui to the glory days of Chris Judd's arrival at the club.

It's a massive compliment.

Naitanui is expected to be the round four nominee for the AFL's coveted NAB Rising Star award.

An announcement will be made tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.

Despite playing 10 games in 2009, the Swan Districts product is eligible for the NAB Rising Star award.

But only just.

To be eligible, nominees must be aged under 21 and not have played more than 10 games.

The Eagles produced the 1996 Rising Star award winner ... none other than Ben Cousins, who went on to win a Brownlow Medal and play in a premiership side.

More pain for Hawks with Burgoyne fracturing jaw in VFL

Hawthorn's prized recruit Shaun Burgoyne can't take a trick.

The 2004 Port Adelaide premiership star has had scans to his jaw, revealing a fracture, following a collision in Sunday's VFL match between the Box Hill Hawks and Geelong at Skilled Stadium.

Burgoyne, a silky smooth midfielder, was on the comeback trial after being sidelined with a leg injury.

The 27-year-old left the field in the second quarter with bleeding from the mouth with a loose tooth following a head clash with Geelong’s Max Rooke.

He returned to play for part of the third and fourth quarters.

Following the match, Burgoyne was sent for scans which revealed a fracture under the tooth site.

Burgoyne will see a specialist later today to determine the severity and appropriate course of action.

Burgoyne's latest setback completes a bad weekend for Hawthorn, who suffered a big loss to Collingwood at the MCG on Saturday.

"Rock Star" Ronnie Burns tips the card

Marngrook Footy Show's "Rock Star" Ronnie Burns will no doubt be boasting about his tipping prowess on this Thursday night's episode on Foxtel's NITV channel.

Never one to back down from promoting himself, Geelong's five-time goalkicking winner tipped the card in the AFL's fourth round.

Eight out of eight.

Perfect.

He was the only panel member to tip Carlton to beat Adelaide at AAMI Stadium on Saturday.

Tipping leader Gilbert McAdam continued his brilliant start to the year with seven winners (he missed on the Blues after tipping Adelaide at home).

Special guest panel member Aaron Davey also tipped seven winners (also missing on the Blues).

"Gilly" leads on 27 from Ronnie on 25.

"Thorpie" is on 21 with host Grant Hansen on 18.

Grant's loyalty to his beloved Western Bulldogs is proving costly.

Adelaide champ Andrew McLeod is an absolute great of the game

Adelaide champion Andrew McLeod is due to play his 333rd game as the Crows do battle with the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium this Friday night.

This will take the silky-skilled two-time premiership player (and two-time Norm Smith Medal winner) into the top 15 list of games played in VFL/AFL history.

The list is headed by Hawthorn legend and seven-time premiership player Michael Tuck with 426 games.

Collingwood mourn the passing of 1958 premiership player Ian Brewer

The Collingwood Football Club is mourning the loss of 1958 premiership player Ian Brewer, who passed away in South Australia early on Thursday morning at the age of 73.

Collingwood players wore black arm bands as a tribute to Brewer in Saturday night’s thumping win over Hawthorn at the MCG.

Brewer was a highly-talented full forward who played 84 games and booted 164 goals for the Magpies between 1956 and '61.

He was the VFL’s leading goal kicker in 1958 with 73 goals, including two majors in the famous grand final triumph over Melbourne.

Dockers impress after giving Saints a big fright

What a terrific game it was at Etihad Stadium.

St Kilda edged out Fremantle by 15 points in an electrifying, thrill-a-minute classic.

The 2009 runners-up blew the game apart by slamming on four goals in a row in the opening minutes of the last quarter after leading by one point at three quarter-time.

But the Dockers will take plenty of confidence out of giving the Saints a big fright.

The Dockers are genuine top-four contenders.

Five goals apiece from Brendon Goddard and Stephen Milne proved the difference.

Silky-skilled midfielder Nick Dal Santo had the ball on a string, especially in the first quarter and a bit.

In-form champ Matthew Pavlich kicked five goals for the Dockers.

Ruckman Aaron Sandilands was outstanding for Freo as well.

Speedy midfielder Stephen Hill caused the Saints plenty of problems.

Hill will feature on the Marngrook Footy Show which airs on Foxtel's incredibly popular NITV channel in the coming weeks.

Finals scores: St Kilda 16.12 (108) to Fremantle 14.9 (93).

Gary Ablett gathered 37 possessions and kicked three goals andcould be on his way to back-to-back Brownlow Medal wins.
